Conclusions continually conscious,

moving onto work experiences...
2010 to Current Date:

Chief Innovation Evangelist at Laulima Sdn Bhd

Joining Laulima as their Creative Director, Mark was responsible for re-developing their branding and marketing - from re-designing their flagship websites and the brands and tools that were used by them for viral marketing. I later assumed the role of Chief Innovation Evangelist after introducing countless new products - from conception, prototyping, business-planning, and design and development. During my time with Laulima, my most prominent work was the launch of MongoPress; an Award Winning Experimental OpenSource CMS and the organization of monthly MongoDB User-Groups.

2006 to 2010:

Co-Founder & Creative Director at NI-Limits Sdn Bhd

As one of the co-founders for NI-Limits, Mark was initially exposed to all aspects of the organizational form, from both micro to macro-management - involving the exploration and implementation of new web-based technologies and marketing strategies, as well as providing detailed recommendations for web-development projects, through to introductions to our financial aspects, human resources (hiring and firing) and everything in-between.

Some of the clients Mark fostered whilst at NI-Limits
included Samsung, Red FM and F&N.

1997 to 2006:

Owner of Pixel-Media

Pixel-Media was a self-owned business, where Mark was able to service small-businesses in and around Malaysia, mainly providing website design and maintenance. Pixel-Media was later acquired by NI-Limits.

1996: Traveling in Europe

Shortly after completing school, Mark decided to travel around Europe on my moped for a year, where he worked at an assortment of places in order to continue paying for the excursion. This was a valuable personal experience that taught him a strong sense of independence.

His passion for OpenSource sparks innovative PET projects
In 2011 he started developing
the following projects...

MongoBase: PHP / MongoDB Framework for Web-Apps
https://github.com/MongoPress/mongoBase

MongoKong: MongoBased HTML5 Social-Gaming Platform
http://mongokong.com/

MongoMail: MongoBased Email Management / Platform
http://mongomail.org/

Geoply: PHP / MongoDB / gSpot Geo-Location Toolkit
https://github.com/msmalley/Geoply

gSpot: jQuery Geo-Plugin
https://github.com/msmalley/gSpot

And in 2010 he developed:

GeoPress: http://GeoPress.my

GeoPress is the first Location Based Service in a box - built on BackPress, this Geo-Social Mapping Platform has been developed from the ground-up specifically for the task of geo-tagging.

gPress: http://gPress.my

gPress adds new geo-relevant layers to WordPress, allowing you to create location-based services or keep track of your own personal geo-tagged journeys. Integrated with both Foursquare and BuddyPress.
